The piano/keyboard is one of the easiest instruments to play. Learning the piano can improve music skills, multitasking skills and performing skills. A benefit of playing the keyboard is having an extra-curricular activity to add to a CV/personal statement. Playing an instrument can also help build musical knowledge to support music lessons at secondary school.
We are using the London College Music (LCM) exam board for our piano exams. Students are mainly taught Western Classical music on the keyboard. Along with learning songs, students are taught key musical terms and how to sight-read.
